What
is a BEx ? |
|
A BEx is an active or a former employee of the Behringer Spezielle Studiotechnik
GmbH or the Behringer International GmbH. |
| BE
= active Behringer employee, Ex = former Behringer employee – the
combination is BEx ! |
| As
there are several different companies called Behringer in the world, so
a real BEx comes from the company with the bold characters ING in the name,
with the stylized ear in the yellow triangular logo, founded 1989 in Germany
by Mr. Dipl. Ing. Uli Behringer. Founded as Behringer Spezielle Studiotechnik
GmbH, the company expanded over the last 20 years to become the Behringer
Group of companies with subsidiaries worldwide - and one of it is the Behringer
International GmbH in Germany, Willich. |

| The
term BEx arose in July 2008, when the BEx Victor Melchor Casal had the glorious
idea to organize a meeting with current and former Behringer colleagues
from the Sales department. Victor had - once again - a great idea, but due
to missing contact data the realization became a problem. Sarah Fütings
joined the project as well as Simone Falkenstein and Matthias Kill. The
idea of such a meeting received enthusiastic critical acclaim and turned
out to become a company-wide meeting, not only restricted to Sales employees.
With Simone and Matthias the committee now contained of two active BEx’s
and with Sarah and Victor of two former BEx’s. |
| The
committee started looking for email addresses of former colleagues in Outlook
files, Google, XING and similar communities and the initial info email returned
also a lot of names and email addresses. Within some days the committee
had 100 names on the list, some days later 200 names and with the Go Live
of this page we had the names of more than 300 BEx’s available. |
| With
80 firm commitments and much more “maybes” for the first BEx
reunion meeting the question for an adequate location came up. Sabine Reder
suggested the Gallerie
Café Message, which – as you would expect – is co-owned
by Gregor Herzog, another BEx. This as per definition “abnormal restaurant,
café & bar” can host 400 guests in café, lounge
and beer garden and also offers a restaurant and a resident DJ. The meeting
was a tremendous success and all participants had a lot of fun. |
| We
did some serious brainstorming about if and how to publish a BEx website
and this is the result. |
To
keep the time and effort involved to a minimum and to meet the requirements
of the data privacy protection obligations we decided to create some static
webpages instead of creating a complex web portal. That’s why you
won’t be able to find any personal data of any BEx here, as well
as you won’t be able to directly upload pictures or entries to our
guestbook. But you are invited to mail to the webmaster and to send us
information, pictures and comments, which will be posted by us –
more or less asap. As we are responsible for the content of this website
we reserve the right to “censor” the information prior to
the upload… :o)
If

We will forward your request to the corresponding BEx, so that he can
contact you – if he likes… :o)
We
will never hand out email addresses from our “master list”
to any 3rd party, so please keep us informed about changes in your email
addresses, so that we can contact you ! |
